IT'S NEW YEAR AGAIN!

As we always hear people say, “Let this new year be better than the years before”. Big grin….

That is so true, right? Semua akan mengharap benda yang sama. Persoalannya, how much better? Sikit, banyak, lagi banyak, banyak banyak baaaaaanyak sekali? Nah, biaq masing-masing pikiaq noh…. La ni I pun tak tau nak habaq tahun baru 2014 ni nak bentuk lagu mana?

Happy New Year 2014! Happy New Year, my dear Cahaya, Kaka, Abang, Maya and Fatima! Happy New Year beloved Nenek Boy, Nenek Girl! Happy New Year to all my siblings yang dikasihi ... Wo ai ni semua. Hao le!

 

Semoga kita semua sentiasa mendapat Lindungan Kasih Allah SWT, dipanjangkan umur dengan badan yang sehat dan keberkatan serta dimurahkan rezeki yang luas, aamiin Ya Rabbal ‘alamiin.

Hooray, Hooray ... It's A Holi-Holiday!

Yayyy….it’s already mid-November! Then come December! Holiday season for me and my family. Time to spend our time together at our Malaysian home. A home is always a home, a place where we always love to be *biiiiiig grin*

As Madonna says in her song -

"You can turn this world around.  And bring back all of those happy days.  Put your troubles down.  It's time to celebrate.  Let love shine.  And we will find.  A way to come together.  And make things better.  We need a holiday!"

Yes indeed Madonna, we need it. We have the all-inclusive holiday feelings every time December comes. I don’t want to write out the plan. I pray that everything goes well, inn syaa Allah. Ya Allah, tunaikanlah segala hajat-hajat kami sekeluarga, dan permudahkanlah segala urusan kami, Aamiin Ya Rabb. 

My 3 babies - Kaka, Luq and Fatima - flew off first with their Ayah. 

 

Maya and I will be joining soon. And the best part is the 2 neneks will be coming too ... Yoohooo! Now let's enjoy this song by Boney M ... And meanwhile, I'm also sharing a simple fruit cocktail jelly recipe - My family's all-time favourite dessert!

Mummy Sinar’s Fruit Cocktail Jelly

Here's the recipe:

1 packet of  jelly powder (I used the Red Man brand - white)

Water mixed with fresh milk to make 1 litre of liquid

60g sugar (adjust quantity to your taste)

2 pandan leaves, tied into a knot

1 can of fruit cocktail

Few drops of vanilla essence

Dissolve jelly powder in the liquid in a pot. Add in the sugar, pandan leaves and bring to boil. Do not leave it long, just one or two boils will do. Remove pot from heat, then pour in the fruit cocktail. Mix the mixture lightly.  Pour into a mould or in a container and leave to cool before refrigerating until chilled.

Serve chilled.

Bye, bye 2012, and Welcome 2013!

Our family has always been lucky for being able to spend our New Years in our Cahaya's home, KL. This time we celebrated it in Genting Highlands with our family friends - The Pak Awang and Khir families. 

It was a great new year gathering. These pictures will tell the story...

The Beautiful Malacca

Our trip to Malacca was fun. We never get bored of this historical place. This time we went with our lovely friends, the Pak Awang and Khir families. Spent great time at the whole town and A'famosa Resort.

Beautiful Istana

Our holiday journey continues. We spent the whole day in Seremban yesterday. With joy, our friend Khir and Sufina took us to the Istana Seri Menanti, Seremban's historical landmark.

A timber palace, constructed in the early 1900, which has been turned into a Royal Museum. I was told that the palace floors were amazingly built without using any nails.

These are the 'kaki skodengs' ... hehe

Our trip ended with makan-makan at one local restaurant.
